A Diddy-produced Biggie documentary is coming to Netflix
The Notorious B.I.G.’s first documentary approved by the late legend’s estate is finally coming to Netflix. The streaming service revealed today (February 15) that Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell arrives on the streaming giant in just 2 weeks’ time.
Netflix has revealed the trailer for the series on the late, great Notorious B.I.G. (aka Christopher Wallace) – which looks incredible – and you don’t have to wait too long for the full thing. I Got A Story To Tell hits the platform on March 1st.
The film is produced by Bad Boys very own Diddy – who broke Biggie into popular consciousness after their first meeting in 1992 – and features other prominent figures in Biggie’s, life such as Faith Evans and Lil Cease.
Netflix expects the documentary to offer “a fresh look at one of the greatest, most influential rappers of all time by those who knew him best”. And what an amazing talent and huge influence he was, in such a short space of time.
Biggie was one of rap’s greatest storytellers, with a unique sense of humour and an eye for detail. His stories were often gritty, graphic and violent – and told with a realism that earned him enormous respect and credibility across the world.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020, after he was tragically shot and killed in 1997 at just 24 years old. Many say he was just getting started.
