T-Pain: Top 10 Tracks
With less than 2 months to go until S&C 2018, we take look back at headliner and hip-hop hero T-PAIN's back catalogue of bangers and ballads to pick our top 10 tracks...
10. 'Mashup (To The Beat With Kurt Schneider)'
A different take for the artist commonly credited as the first to use autotune in such a manner,T Pain revokes his mechanical wizardry for a more acoustic approach here - and it sends shivers down the spine.
9. 'Blame It (On The Alcohol)' with JAMIE FOXX
Before Jamie Foxx was an actor he was also a singer with a voice like velvet. This R’n’B club banger was a particular favourite in 2008 and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song!
8. '5 o’clock' ft. Wiz Khalifa & Lily Allen
With such a rare combination of names you’d be forgiven to wonder how well this track works, but one listen to Lily Allen's catchy hook and fire verses from Wiz & T Pain leads to a Pop/R’n’b crossover that we couldn’t leave out of this list. This track was a huge success for the threesome, reaching number 6 in the UK chart and number 10 in the US!
7. Buy U A Drank With Yung Joc
Arguably T Pains greatest hit, and the track everybody will shout about when you mention his name - This classic has amassed over nearly 100 million views on YouTube & 160 million views on Spotify.
6. 'Good Life' WITH KANYE WEST
The third single offering from arguably Kanye’s best album “Graduation” released in 2007, this track did serious damage both on the charts and in the clubs and for good reason! With drum programming from Timbaland and addition vocals from Ne-Yo & John Legend, this star-studded classic had to be on our list.
5. 'FLORIDA BOY' WITH Rick Ross & Kodak Black
The latest anthem from Camp T Pain, with the help of larger than life Rick Ross & Kodak Black, this belter is a sure-fire Summertime hit.
4. "All I Do Is Win" with Ludacris, Rick Ross, T-Pain & Snoop Dogg.
The ultimate club dance-floor anthem, DJ Khaled enlists the help of Ludacris, T Pain, Rick Ross & Snoop Dogg for a star studded hip-hop bonanza. One of our personal favourites!
3. 'BARTENDER' FT. AKON
Akon and T Pain go together like Strawberries & Creem, as proven in this absolute classic from the early days of their careers. This track was T Pain's 4th consecutive top 10 hit and was nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group.
2. 'I'M SPRUNG'
Uttering just the first word of the now-iconic “I’m Spruuung” will get any millennial belting out the rest of the intro. This debut from T Pain’s first album was his first top 10 single and it’s easy to see why.
1. 'CHURCH' ft. Teddy Verseti
A stone cold Teddy Pain classic and often featured in the club night that spawned S&C, this fast paced, frantic track is a certified banger. We’re pretty sure there was a dance to it as well.
