S&C team up with Pro:Direct Soccer on limited edition football jersey
THE FESTIVAL ESSENTIAL
To mark the return of football and music fans to stadiums and festivals, we have teamed up with Pro:Direct Soccer & Pello Capital to create a very special, limited edition football kit – The Festival Essential 🔥️⚽️
CELEBRATE HERITAGE. CHAMPION FUTURE.
We have put our personal twist on a thriving jersey culture scene that continues to merge the worlds of football and music. The shirt is all about our tagline ‘Celebrate Heritage. Champion Future.’ – which is branded across the front of the design. It is a tagline that has matured from a love of music, to being proud of who you are and where you come from.
The jersey, born from the pandemic era, highlights the importance of nurturing and supporting young people from all backgrounds. It’s a message that carries significant relevance after the abuse England players received online after the EURO 2020 Final defeat, which further reaffirmed the work that still needs to be done and how we must all continue to push – to celebrate heritage, not let it divide us.
We at Strawberries & Creem are a diverse team made up of different genders, races and sexual orientations – who came together from different backgrounds, geographies and cultures – and we stand for inclusivity and equality in music, culture, events and beyond.
This shirt is a symbol of celebrating heritage and championing the future – and we want people to know that every time they put on this shirt, they’re standing for inclusivity, diversity and progression.
“POSITIVITY, INCLUSIVITY, AND ENERGY”
Luke Harrison, Senior Designer at Pro:Direct Soccer, said: “We wanted to instill the positivity, inclusivity, and energy of the Strawberries & Creem brand into a football shirt. We ultimately landed on a beautiful clean black silhouette that is punctuated with soft pink pops of colour throughout the shirt.
”The Strawberries & Creem brand mark is reimagined as a football shirt club crest and their iconic mantra ‘Celebrate Heritage. Champion Future’ is placed front and centre on the shirt in the traditional sponsor space on the torso.”
This jersey is powered by Pello Capital, an investment bank who also believes in nurturing and developing our community and as we grow – making a conscious effort to make a difference in whichever way possible. We are proud and honoured to share our Festival Essential shirt with them.
We chose to work with young creatives that have inspired us along our journey over the past few years – who have modelled this collection for us. We hope the stories of our ‘Future Champions’ (see below) resonate with you and showcase what opportunities there are when you follow your passion.
PROFITS SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE
Our profits from the sales of the shirts will go to the Young Urban Arts Foundation – an organisation doing incredible work to help young people go places, building opportunities through creativity and culture.
YUAF’s mission to empower the lives of young people by strengthening well-being and building opportunities, through creativity and culture – ensuring that they are seen, heard and celebrated.
Within 12 years, they have helped over 19,000 young people and are known for delivering both empowering and creative outreach workshops in hard-to-reach areas where young people are at high-risk of child exploitation, being a victim of crime or those who do not have access to opportunities.
Their youth charity's programmes are designed around prevention, and built to drive creativity – such as their multimedia bus workshops, which they take into communities, as a safe and exciting space to inspire and build young people’s confidence.
They also take our facilitators to schools, community centres and youth hubs. Working with partners, they provide young people with opportunities to gain further training or work experience, allowing them to build long-term rapport and support systems.
AVAILABLE FROM TODAY
You can pick up the jersey from August 11 at prodirectsoccer.com. These are limited edition, and we only have a small number – so don’t hang about, grab yours now.
